We are the Lincoln Improv Collective (LIC), and for more than three years, we have been sharing the spirit and skills of improvisational theatre with the Lincoln community. Through free monthly events, we create welcoming spaces for people to practice, study, and perform improv, with opportunities designed for both all ages and adults.
Since 2023, we have connected with hundreds of Nebraskans through the joy of improvisational theatre. We have seen how improv exercises can transform the way people connect with themselves and others. At its heart, improv invites us to practice essential interpersonal skills - including active listening, collaboration, mutual support, giving and receiving feedback, acceptance, adaptability, and creativity - all through play, laughter, and self-expression.
With your support, the Lincoln Improv Collective can bring these experiences to more people, reduce barriers to participation, and cultivate new spaces where Nebraskans can connect, create, and learn together.
